Who can enroll in the Foyer MERICI?

At the Foyer Merici, we admit anyone without minding their religious preferences and their culture. We think that diversity in our foyer is priceless.

The foyer has a bedroom adapted for a wheelchair student. Also, the shared spaces are leveled and are accessible for persons with reduced mobility.

Exceptionally, if a bedroom is available, the foyer can take in a student for a short period of time, on half pension.

The foyer only accepts girls.

Is the Foyer kept open?

Yes, meals are served just until Friday night. A kitchen and a dining room are opened for students for Saturday and Sunday.

The establishment closes during the Christmas holidays and in August. It stays open during all other school holidays.

Registration process

You could write about all the elements related to your family, friends, … and indications about your compromises, your activities and what you’re interested on. You can mention also any experience that has marked you.

Also, it would be good if you indicate the reason of your studies, why do you want to go to the foyer, your expectative and what can you contribute to the establishment’s life.

The objective of this letter is to receive you the best way possible and favor your student life from the beginning.

Of course, you can receive the help of the ALS, Allocation Logement de Solidarité (Housing Solidarity Funds), by making a personal application in the CAF of Angers. You have to precise that it is not a renting but a fee.

Life at Foyer MERICI

Living in the Foyer Will allow you to bond really fast with other students. The sisters and the seculars of the Foyer are also available to answer any question and help guide you in Angers.

No, the services aren’t mandatory, but the students are encouraged to take part of them, because, as it had been proved before, they provide a lot for both the students and the people who are benefited.

Your girl friends can sleep over in your bedroom for one or two nights: 8,00€ on a week night (breakfast included) and 6,00€ on the weekends.

Your guy friends can’t go into the bedrooms’ building; they can just go into the reception room.

Yes, the foyer has a private parking.

The foyer proposes spiritual activities, as well as the propositions from the dioceses for the young people, including the preparation for the sacraments.

Regularly, the students of the foyer prepare for the baptism, the first communion, or the confirmation on catechism.
